More About Lily Winsaft, CEO & Founder of Aldebaran Associates International

L ily Z. Winsaft has over 25 years experience in sales, business development, team-building, staffing, recruiting, territory management, product launch, training, coach-ing, and mentoring. A sought-after speaker and subject matter expert in numerous arenas, Ms. Winsaft's background includes over 20 years of combined experience in financial services, venture capital funding, investment banking and wireless communi-cations.

In the last 10 years, she has been involved in senior level recruiting and staffing. Lily spent 5 years as a senior manager at one of the world’s oldest and largest staffing firms, a Fortune 500 international company focused on Accounting and Finance. In late 2001 she resigned her post at Robert Half International and created Aldebaran Associates International, LLC to address the hiring challenges facing corporations and professionals in a 21st Century transitioning economy.

Aldebaran Associates specializes in providing highly selective recruiting for professional services firms such as Advertis-ing and Marketing Agencies, Law and Accounting Firms, and Software or other IT consulting organizations. Additionally, almost half of the Aldebaran portfolio is focused on International Markets, with an emphasis on helping companies to grow their Latin America infrastructure, typically managed out of the SE of the United States.

“Our target clients are small to mid-size companies with international and diversity focused efforts. Many of the candi-dates we represent have international business experience and are bilingual or multi-lingual.”

Recently, the firm’s services have expanded to include executive search for the nonprofit arena as well as placing Latinos on boards across corporations, institutions and nonprofit organizations.

Lily launched and currently serves as President of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Latina Business Woman Associa-tion (NLBWA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the business and professional development of Latinas through edu-cation and mentoring opportunities. She also chairs the “Compañeros Giving” campaign for the Latin American Associa-tion, an organization which recently honored her on National Philanthropist Day for her fundraising and volunteer ef-forts. She is passionate about micro finance and recently joined a special mission trip to Guatemala sponsored by Delta on behalf of CARE International, another of the many nonprofit organizations that Lily volunteers time to. Recognized as "Business Woman of the year, 2005" by The Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, one of the most powerful and in-fluential Hispanic organizations in Atlanta, Ms. Winsaft continually strives to contribute to empowering and inspiring others to “be connected with their own greatness.”

In addition to her involvement with organizations such as the Women’s Leadership Exchange where she serves on the National Multicultural Board, Lily is active on the Advisory Boards of the Women’s Leadership Forum at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business and Professional Women’s Anonymous, a nonprofit organization focused on providing support to individuals faced with harassment at work.
Ms. Winsaft has a passion for and speaks on a variety of subjects, particularly those that affect women and entrepreneurs, as well as topics involving enlightened leadership and career transition. Considered by many as a “Networking Guru,” she is th0ught of as a subject matter expert on Hiring trends as well as Hispanic issues and has served or currently volunteers time with numerous nonprofit organizations in this community, such as ACOLPA (the Association of Colombian Profes-sionals in Atlanta), where she served as President of the Board for 3 years, GHNet (the Georgia Hispanic Network), where she is an active Foundation Director and served on the Board for 2 years and the Mexican American Chamber of Com-merce, where she volunteers her time by facilitating professional seminars. She has been or is an advisor/mentor for pro-grams with SHRM (the Society for Human Resources Management), the Institute of International Business Program at Georgia State University, and the MBA International Program at American Intercontinental University, where she has been an active Board Advisor for over three years.

A commitment to providing quality of work/life balance is a value that Lily looks for in potential company clients before she agrees to represent them. She walks her talk by always taking time to travel for leisure, jogging, practicing Chi Kung, reading, meditating, cooking, exercising and spending quality time with her family. She’ll be running her first half Mara-thon in October of this year!

Lily is a native of Colombia, SA and was raised in Brooklyn, NY and Miami, Florida. She is the single empty nester to Lance and Kory ages 22 and 20, both in college.
